The math

A lost bid never sends an invoice, so the cost stays invisible.

Here's the arithmetic we use to make it visible — all four factors from your own answers, so you can argue with any of them.

Four numbers, multiplied

FactorWhere it comes from
Estimate requests per weekYour answer — midpoint of the range you pick
× estimated miss rateConservative lookup keyed to your Turnaround Score band — slower turnaround, more silent losses
× close rate for your tradeConservative working assumption, stated in the report
× value of one jobYour answer — average job value

Trade job sizes make this math heavy. A remodeler getting 10 requests a week, scoring in the "Leaking" band (30% estimated miss), closing 25% of what survives, at a $10,000 average job: 10 × 4.3 × 30% × 25% × $10,000 ≈ $32,000 a month riding on quote lag. One recovered kitchen a month pays for the whole fix several times over.

Estimates from your own answers using stated assumptions — labeled that way in every report. The $500 first fix opens by replacing the estimate with a measurement — then installs the fix it measured the need for.

The quieter cost

The other thing slow quoting spends is you. Sunday at the kitchen table is a real cost with no line item — and it compounds into turned-off phones, unanswered requests, and a business that can't grow past the hours its owner can stay awake. Owners rarely fix quoting for the revenue first. They fix it to get their weekends back; the revenue follows.
