How we measure
Turnaround is a number. Most shops have never seen theirs.
Ask any owner how fast quotes go out and you'll hear "pretty quick, usually." Measured, "pretty quick" spans same-day to never. Here's how the number gets built.
The four axes
- Response speed (35% — the heaviest weight on this door). From request to acknowledgment, and from request to a number in the customer's hands. In bid-for-the-job work, turnaround is the mechanism that wins or loses, so it carries the most score.
- Hours coverage (25%). Whether an estimate request landing Tuesday 7pm gets anything at all before you open — acknowledged requests wait politely; ignored ones shop around.
- Follow-up persistence (25%). How many times a quoted-but-quiet customer hears from you. The quote is the beginning of the sale, not the end of it.
- Channel coverage (15%). Whether every way a customer might ask for a price — phone, form, text, DM — is watched and answered.
The free score vs. the $500 first fix
The free score is built from what you tell us, labeled as exactly that. The first fix is a week that ends with your quote flow working differently. Days one and two: timed test requests into your real intake — the Friday-afternoon window included, with your written permission — logging what a customer experiences now, timestamped at the source. Days three and four: ONE fix from the menu below, built and running. Day five: the before/after in writing.
The menu (your report's worst axis picks)
- The Quote-Ack Install (speed worst — most common). Every estimate request gets an instant acknowledgment with a promised-by time, plus a structured intake that captures what quoting actually needs — photos, sizes, access — up front. The second trip and the twenty-question phone tag mostly disappear.
- The Monday Queue Install (hours worst). Weekend and evening requests land in a triaged queue someone owns at opening — nothing quoted from memory, nothing lost in a voicemail.
- The Sent-Quote Ladder Install (persistence worst). Every quote that goes out gets a three-touch follow-up sequence instead of hopeful silence.
- The Channel Net Install (channel worst). The request path nobody watches — the form, the DM — wired to alert a human.
One fix per $500, from this menu — the cap is what keeps the price honest. Scope beyond the menu is the full build, quoted in writing.
What we don't do
- No probes on channels or hours you exclude — permission is written and explicit.
- No wasted site visits: test requests never book real walkthroughs, and every probe is identified to you after the window closes.
- No padded findings. "Your turnaround is fast" is a deliverable we're happy to hand you, in writing.
